first is an officer's cap from the Life Guard Hussar Regiment. Red wool crown with dark blue band and yellow piping. Has black leather visor and Prussian state cockade. Lined in brown oilcloth with leather sweatband. Nice specimen. Second is an officer's cap from the 4th Dragoons. Medium blue wool crown with pale yellow band and piping. Has Prussian and national cockades and black leather visor. Lined in grey silk with leather sweatband. Condition: First cap lacks the national cockade and has three areas of cracking to the sweatband. The second cap has an area of notable damage to the rear of the cap and sweatband with general wear to the lining.
