Rare spectacular description of the triumphal procession for the ceremony held in June to celebrate St Rumbold, the Irish monk who evangelised Mechelen in the 8th c. and who became the patron saint of the city. Illustrated with large engr. folding plates by Johann and Joseph Klauber after De la Rue, G. Herreyns and J.L. Suetens, showing the magnificent chariots taking part in the ceremony.
