White, 1768, folding engraved map frontispiece to first volume, 22 engraved plates (including 4 folding, without plate of Audley House, not called for in plate list), 10 folding maps and plans, some light browning and occasional spotting, contemporary speckled calf, rebacked, maroon morocco labels, lower joint and spine of volume 1 cracked, folio, together with: Essex. A New and Complete History of Essex, from a late Survey; compared with the most celebrated historians ... by a Gentleman, 6 volumes, Chelmsford: Printed and sold by Lionel Hassall. Sold also by F. Newbery, in St. Paul's Church-yard, London, 1770-1772, engraved title pages to first two volumes, numerous engraved plates and maps including some folding (appears to lack 2 plates of 54 called for), engraved and letterpress titles with old ink stamp to verso and ink stamp to verso of final leaf in volume 1, armorial bookplate of Herbert Henry Raphael to upper pastedowns and called library bookplate to front free endpapers with library ink stamps also to endpapers, late 19th/early 20th-century half calf, rebacked preserving spines, 8vo (Quantity: 8)
