Lavender, dated 6th May 1993 The Battle of Camperdown was fought on the 11th October 1797 between the British North Sea Fleet and the Batavian Navy. The British fleet was under the command of Admiral Adam Duncan (1731-1804), on the 21st October Duncan was raised to the Peerage as Baron Duncan Lundie and Viscount Duncan of Camperdown. Together with: Naval interest: A George III and later fob, with Georgian bow surmount inscribed to one side NELSON VICTORIOUS 1 August 1798 HOWE JERVIS DUNCAN, suspending a later cornelian disc with applied fouled anchor Size/dimensions: 4.9cm long Gross weight: 5.3 grams The pediment celebrating the Battle of the Nile, a battle between the French and British Fleets, and one of the greatest victories of the admiral Horatio Nelson.
