Nice map that was also used in the Atlas Maior of F. de Wit published by I. Covens & C. Mortier, c.1735. Ref. Koeman C&M 1 en 2. - Brabantia Ducatus . Amst., W. Blaeu, 1643-50, French ed., 38,5 x 50,3 cm, orig. col. (marg. soiling and foxing). Ref. Van der Krogt 3100: 2. - Hollandiae Cattorum regionis typus . Guicciardini, c. 1585, 24 x 32 cm, full col. Beautiful t.-p. of the the 2nd pt. of the Blaeu Atlas. Corinthian portico surmounted by the royal coat-of-arms of Spain with the Golden Fleece. On both sides in niches : the allegorical personifications of the known continents. Moto on top. (5 maps)
