John Lumley-Savile-was educated at Trinity Hall, Cambridge, and elected Member of Parliament for Nottinghamshire 1826-32, and North Nottinghamshire 1832-35, and later Lord Lieutenant of Nottinghamshire. He left Rufford Abbey and his library to his natural son John, later Baron Savile, which were both sold in 1938. (1)
