Rey (Charles F.) Unconquered Abyssinia, as it is to-day , first edition , half-title, plates, folding map printed in blue, 8pp. publisher's catalogue at end, publisher's File Copy with A.L.s. from the author dated 1930 agreeing to a translation of the book loosely inserted (pinholes to letter and endpaper where previously attached), also with note "1930 Japanese rights sold 20" in pencil on front free endpaper and annotations to list of illustrations, original pictorial orange cloth, 8vo, 1923. ⁂ As General Manager of the Abyssinian Corporation the author was prompted to write this book after reading derogatory reports of Abyssinia in the press. He later became Resident Commissioner of the Bechuanaland Protectorate, a position he held at the time of writing the enclosed letter.
