Southern Fashion No. 3 Double Dial Calendar Mantle Clock. Original 8 in. painted metal time dial "Patented Dec. 28, 1875" with sub seconds dial, spade hands and silvered bezel; 8 in. original painted metal lower calendar dial signed "Southern Calendar Clock Co., St. Louis, MO" has 31 date numbers with cutouts exposing the Day & Month cylinders. Brass 8 day spring driven movement signed "Manufactured by Seth Thomas - Solely for The Southern Calendar Clock Co.", has Graham deadbeat escapement, count-wheel hour strike on a large 4 in. brass bell, silvered pendulum bob with brass star mount on original hanger; in a carved walnut case with turned finials, turned side columns and reverse gilt lead decorated "Fashion" glass. Enhanced original finished, in very good condition, running, striking, calendar mechanism is functioning with original labels. 32 in. high x 16 in. wide x 5.5 in. deep. Weight: 19 lbs.
