circa 1760-70 Modelled by J.J. Kaendler, each reclining by a lobed, oval dish moulded with basketwork reserved with panels of flower-sprigs and with scattered sprigs to the interior, the gentleman wearing a turquoise-lined puce patterned jacket and puce breeches, the lady scantily clad in a purple bodice, yellow skirt painted with flowers and white headdress, the scroll-edged bases heightened in gilding and applied with leaves and flowers, approx. 17.5cm across, crossed swords mark (lady) and crossed swords mark with dot (gentleman) in underglaze-blue (minor restoration and chips) (2)
