Furthermore delivered with With Longines Extract from the Archives confirming the present watch was invoiced on 9 July 1959 to the company, Longines-Wittnauer, which was at that time the agent for Longines in the USA. Catalogue Essay Longines reference 6921 was launched in the late 1950's and was marketed as the 'Skin Diver's Watch'. This diver's wristwatch was powered by an automatic movement and a highly luminescent dial and hands. Original advertisement from the late 50's suggests the watch remains waterproof as long as the crystal and backs are intact and is further enhanced with an anti-radiation shield underneath the dial. Featuring broad and angular lugs, case dimension and overall very good condition make it difficult to believe that the present watch is over half a century old. This Skin Diver was invoiced on 9 July 1959 to the company Longines-Wittnauer, which was at that time the agent for Longines in the US.
