WESTERN ASIATIC OLD AKKADIAN CYLINDER SEAL WITH CONTEST SCENES 2334-2000 BC A lapis lazuli cylinder seal with two registers separated by a trilinear band; in the upper, two 'bull-men' looking over their shoulders as each are attacked by a rampant lion, the right one is pulled back by its mane and tail by a naked bearded hero, standing between two long daggers; in the lower: a pair of rearing water buffalos with back facing each other, are attacked by a rampant lion, the right one is pulled back by its tail by a naked bearded hero. 3.44 grams, 26mm (1").
