BOUND BY THE WIENER WERKSTATTE BINDERY IN TANNED FROG SKIN, the wooden boards shaped to a scalloped profile and covered with rectangular panels of frog skin, doublures of frog skin, with four outer panels crossed by a central panel, each with dotted-gilt border, watered silk endleaves with a simple single gilt star at center, gilt-stamp signed Wiener Werkstatte on rear silk endleaves. LIMITED EDITIONS, first volume number 244 and second volume number 89, each of 670 copies. A superb binding from the Wiener Werkstatte, which exemplifies the workshop's emphasis on minimal patterning and geometric design. (2)
