Xing Baozhuang was an artist born in Guangzhou and active in Hong Kong. During his formative years, he immersed himself in the realm of Western painting and sculpture. In the 1970s, while pursuing a degree at Chinese University of Hong Kong, he embarked on an exploration of Chinese painting. He is renowned for his paintings depicting figures in landscape, a style inspired by Fu Baoshi (1904-1965) and other Cantonese artists. His works have been collected by prestigious institutions such as Hong Kong Museum of Art and National Museum of Singapore.
