Provenance : Michael Butler Yeats (notation on front flyleaf: "W.B. Yeats Corrected copy."). ONE OF 400 COPIES. WITH A PENCIL CORRECTION BY YEATS TO "THE SECOND COMING" on page 19. A substantive difference, Yeats changes " a waste of desert sand" to " somewhere in desert sand." In the varorium edition, this would read "somewhere in sands of the desert," indicating a future revision (see lot 302). This volume includes the first book appearances of "The Second Coming," "A Prayer for My Daughter" and "Meditation in a Time of War." Symons p. 39; Tomkinson p. 35; Wade 127.
