1885-88 Small Dragon Issues Covers International 9 candareen Rate 1896 (8 Aug.) Tallieu & Co envelope addressed to Graf Fritz Zeppelin in Strassburg "by Canadian-Pacific" bearing 5ca. yellow-ochre with Dowager 4ca. tied by a single strike of Peking seal in blue with France "Chine" 25c. tied by "shang-hai/chine" c.d.s. and, on the reverse, "i.g. of customs/peking" c.d.s., Customs Shanghai (14.8) and Strassburg arrival (23.9), with handstamp "nachzusenden nau" (to be forwarded) to Tirol, the reverse with additional Mittenwald and Scharnitz (26.9) c.d.s. Vertical folding crease, a very interesting cover and combinations of Small Dragons and Dowagers are scarce. Signed by Peter Holcombe. The final link for the complete transcontinental railroad was the completion of the Internarinal Railway of Maine n 1889. They also operated a service acroos the Atlantic to the port of Liverpool
