1885-88 Small Dragon Issues Covers International 9 candareen Rate 1896 (8 Aug.) Tallieu & Co envelope addressed to Graf Fritz Zeppelin in Strassburg "by Canadian-Pacific" bearing 5ca. yellow-ochre with Dowager 4ca. tied by a single strike of Peking seal in blue with France "Chine" 25c. tied by "shang-hai/chine" c.d.s. and, on the reverse, "i.g. of customs/peking" c.d.s., Customs Shanghai (14.8) and Strassburg arrival (23.9), with handstamp "nachzusenden nau" (to be forwarded) to Tirol, the reverse with additional Mittenwald and Scharnitz (26.9) c.d.s. Vertical folding crease, a very interesting cover and combinations of Small Dragons and Dowagers are scarce. Signed by Peter Holcombe.
