1893-1925, A valuable specialised assembly in a large carton including a few Ottoman Post items, 1914-16 covers (3) including an example of the scarce "FEE PAID" handstamp, 1916 to Alexandria showing straight-line "FEE PAID" h.s. and violet oval "PASSED BY CENSOR/NO 11" cachet; the adhesives include 1916 (Oct.) die proofs (2) in red of the reversed die of the 1pi. on surfaced wove paper (approx. 55x35mm.), perforated 12 ¼pi. (4, with a strip of three), ½pi. scarlet (9, with two blocks of four - one lower marginal showing control number) and 1pi. mint, and a used selection, 1916 (Dec.) rouletted 20 with mint and used blocks of four - several with control numbers, also 1/8pi. yellow complete sheet of fifty, the covers (4) include two four colour frankings bearing a mixture of rouletted 20 and 13 values, 1917 (May - Nov.) rouletted 13 imperforate proofs in issued colours of the 1pa. (block of four) and 2pi. (pair), issued stamps with mint blocks of four and singles for all values, complete sheets of fifty of the 1/8pi. and ¼pi., 1921 (21 Dec.) overprinted roulette 13 1pa. to 2pi. mint including ½pi. red with inverted overprint and 1pi. with brown-carmine overprint, 1922 (7 Jan.) range, 1922 (Feb.)-24 1/8pi. to 10pi. with numerous multiples and shades, 1924 (March) Proclamation values to 5pi. (3, including inverted overprint) mint together with multiples - a couple of the larger pieces showing several positions with arabic date omitted, 1925 Jeddah overprint on 1922-24 issues (red) with values to 10pi. (6) including an example of the ½pi. scarlet, and various overprint varieties, (blue) to 5pi. with 1pi. blue (3, one with inverted overprint) and other overprint errors, (black) values to 5pi. with 1pi. blue (3, one with inverted overprint), (gold) values to 5pi. and a selection on the Caliph issue of 1924 in various colours, 1925 Jeddah surcharges ¼pi. on 1/8pi. to 10pi. on 5pi. with surcharge errors, 1925 (June) Jeddah overprints including (red) 3pi. green mint pair imperforate between; Postage Dues with 1917 imperforate proofs in blocks of four for all three values, later including a large range of 1925 overprint and handstamped types including errors - some in blocks, 1925 (July) imperforate proofs in various colours.
