18TH CENTURY ENGLISH SCHOOL "Study of a young woman in blue and red dress with basket of fruit" oil on canvas 58 cm x 50 cm CONDITION REPORTS Has had areas of touching up and repairs throughout and heavily crazed throughout. Areas of damage and loss to the paintwork to the canvas variously, particularly noticeable to the blouse on the right hand side. There appears to be a split above her left shoulder and there are some areas of bruising around the apples in the left hand corner. The whole thing - front and back - appears to have been treated with a waxy like substance. There is a line / split straight along the bottom, approx 1 cm up. In need of a clean - very dusty. Otherwise general wear and tear conducive with age and use. The frame has losses variously throughout. See images, including under UV, for further detail.
