The scooter gained instant acceptance everywhere, its cleanliness and convenience, in particular, appealing to those who did not have the inclination, time or money for the larger motorcycle. Scooters would eventually surpass their strictly utilitarian origins to become an integral part of British youth culture in the 1960's. The Lambretta TV175 was all new and incorporated innovations of enclosed chain drive and a four-speed gearbox. Latterly they moved the headlamp from the front apron to the handlebar fairing, thus creating what for many enthusiasts is the definitive Lambretta look. This 1962 Lambretta TV175 Series III was imported to the UK in 2009, it then had one owner until it was purchased by the current owner, a specialist film vehicle rental company, in 2014. Being part of their large collection, this scooter has been in several TV and film productions, the most recent being 'Good Omens' released in May 2019 and the new Walt Disney film ‘Artemis Fowl’ which will be released in the Spring of 2020. It is supplied with a V5 registration document and a file containing old MoT test certificates showing that this scooter has only covered just over 400 miles since being imported. This is an opportunity to purchase a sought after scooter, with unique recent history, and offered without reserve.
