Sa carrosserie était Opalescent Dark Green avec une capote noire et un intérieur noir. C'est logique quand on considère que le marché US absorbait près de 75 % de la production des Type E ! Cette Type E évoluait dans le New Jersey au début des années 2000 avant d'être achetée par un collectionneur du nord de la France. Ce passionné de GT des années 1960 et 1970 confie alors la voiture à GT Label, l'un des meilleurs ateliers de restauration français spécialisé dans la réfection des véhicules d'après-guerre. La voiture va faire l'objet d'une profonde restauration et bénéficier de près de mille heures d'une main-d'œuvre attentionnée, répartie de manière quasi-égale entre mécanique et carrosserie ! Cette Jaguar Type E a été entièrement passée en revue et tout ce qui devait être changé l'a été (près de 22 000 € de pièces et fournitures diverses). Le moteur a été entièrement révisé, les freins, le système de refroidissement, l'échappement complet, un grand nombre de silent-blocs, durits, joints, etc. ont été changé. " Matching number ", cette Type E est aujourd'hui dans un état superbe. Avec sa carrosserie bleue, associée à un intérieur beige des plus élégant, cette Type E est prête à affronter les rallyes dominicaux les plus exigeants. Its bodywork was in Opalescent Dark Green colour, with a black soft top and black interior. This is only natural considering that the US market absorbed almost 75% of the E-Type production. This E-type evolved in New Jersey in the early 2000s before being acquired by a collector in northern France. This 1960s and 1970s GT enthusiast then entrusted the car to GT Label, one of the best French restoration workshops specialised in the repair of post-war vehicles. A meticulous restoration was carried out and the car benefited from nearly a thousand hours of attentive manpower, divided almost equally between the engine and the bodywork! This Jaguar E-Type was completely revised and everything needing to be changed has been changed (nearly €22,000 on various parts and supplies). The engine was fully serviced, as well as the cooling system, brakes, the entire exhaust, a lot of silent blocks, hoses, gaskets, etc. which have been replaced. "Matching numbers", this E-Type is in excellent condition to date. With its blue bodywork and the most elegant beige interior, this E-Type is ready to race in the most challenging Sunday rallies.
