Fruit d'un accord entre Fiat et Ferrari, la Fiat Dino fut originellement équipée d'une mécanique V6 2L à quatre arbres à cames en tête entièrement en aluminium, dérivée du moteur Dino 196 de course élaboré par Ferrari. Le cabriolet, dessiné par Pininfarina, fut présenté au public en novembre 1967, et le coupé, dessiné par Bertone, quelques mois plus tard. Seuls 1163 spiders 2000 furent construits entre 1967 et 1969. Vendu neuf en France ainsi qu'en témoigne sa plaque importateur, puis immatriculé le 19 novembre 1968, l'exemplaire présenté a été vendu par Michel Seydoux lors d'une vente aux enchères Poulain-Lefur en 1996. Il avait alors été fait mention d'une restauration par Vergotini et la voiture affichait 22 000 km. Régulièrement entretenue par son propriétaire, elle a parcouru depuis environ 6000 km. L'élégante carrosserie est saine et porte une belle livrée jaune. La sellerie en simili noir est en bon état de conservation à l'exception d'une couture qui sera à reprendre sur le siège conducteur. La mécanique fonctionne de manière satisfaisante, et on ne se lasse pas de jouer des rapports pour profiter de ses montées en régime symphoniques. En 2008, les rotules de train avant et le support de boite ont été remplacés. Accompagné de sa trousse contenant le cric et de la boite à outils d'origine, ce bel exemplaire compte parmi les rares vendus neufs en France et offre une mécanique étroitement issue de la compétition, dont la fiabilité ne peut être remise en cause : l'essayer, c'est immédiatement l'adopter ! As a result of an agreement between Fiat and Ferrari, the Fiat Dino was initially equipped with a 2L V6 engine with four full aluminium camshafts, derived from the Dino 196 engine developed by Ferrari. Designed by Pininfarina, the convertible was revealed to the public in November 1967 and the coupe version, designed by Bertone, few months later. Only 1,163 spyders 2000 were built between 1967 and 1969. Sold new in France, as shown by its import plaque and registered on 19 November 1968, this particular vehicle was sold by Michel Seydoux during a Poulain-Lefur auction sale in 1996. A restoration by Vergotini was mentioned at that time and the car had 22,000 km on the clock. It has since been driven for 6,000 km and has been regularly serviced. The elegant bodywork is sound and is in a beautiful yellow colour. The black leatherette upholstery is in good order, except a seam which will need repair on the driver's seat. The mechanical part is in satisfactory working condition and gear shifts remain highly enjoyable, especially when going into highly symphonic revs. The front axle hinges and the gearbox support were replaced in 2008. Coming with its kit containing the jack and the original toolbox, this beautiful example is one of very few sold new in France and offers a mechanical performance closely linked to competition, which is without a doubt highly reliable.
