1969 Jaguar E-Type Series II Roadster Lot Number247 RegistrationJSA 436G Chassis Number1R9445 Engine Number7R5376-9 Odometer reading21,943 miles Estimate£54,000 - £66,000 Print details Send this to a friend 2 more images From its launch in 1961 to the end of its production in 1975, the Jaguar E-Type went from design revelation to motoring icon in a generation. Based on Jaguar’s three time Le Mans winning D-Type and known internationally for its beautiful sleek lines and a top speed of 150mph, this revolutionary car had three significant series changes during its 14 year build span. Each model enjoyed subtle changes which included chassis length, headlight style and switchgear but all retained the famous Jaguar DNA instilled by the company’s founder Sir William Lyons. This well-presented Series II Roadster was delivered new to the USA in 1969. Presented in the desirable colour combination of Maroon Red over a black leather interior, this E-Type is offered in largely very original condition. The bodywork is generally very good and the interior presents nicely. The body has been resprayed at some stage during its life and presents well although would benefit from a professional detailing to bring it back to its best. The vendor acquired the car in 2015 directly from the US and set about a light recommissioning when it arrived in the UK. Reported to run and drive very well, this Jaguar has been maintained to a high standard since acquisition and being offered in its original left hand drive form would make a great European touring car for the new owner. Offered with a history file detailing previous maintenance work, previous MoT test certificates, the current UK registration document and various sundry invoices.
