1972 Land Rover Series III LWB Lot Number219 RegistrationNHM 904L Chassis Number91600643A Odometer reading15,000 miles Estimate£11,000 - £15,000 ResultSold - £8,960 Print details Send this to a friend 1 more image Long wheel-base model Single family ownership from new The original 1948 Land Rover was ingeniously designed and engineered for extreme capability and strength. With robust construction and characteristics such as short front and rear overhangs, it drove off the production line ready to take on some of the world's toughest terrain. It was the product of continuous evolution and refinement throughout the 1950's and 1960's with improved stability and a tighter turning circle and was a period in which Land Rover took the lead in the emerging market for four-wheel drive vehicles. As a tough, reliable mobility platform, countless organisations came to depend on Land Rover vehicles. It is estimated that two-thirds of all these incredible vehicles are still at work - many of them in some of the most extreme conditions on earth. Registered in 1972 this Land Rover Series III long wheel-base is in commercial guise which includes the rear fold down tailgate. Presented in blue with an off-white rear cabin the Land Rover is generally presented in very original condition. The paintwork is flat as you would expect for an example that is largely original and the interior is in good order throughout. The Land Rover comes from single family ownership and has been use on the family farm from new. Showing a mere 15,000 miles on the odometer this Land Rover is very original indeed and come complete with the owners handbook, a receipt from its early life, old MoT test certificates, as well as the current MoT test certificate and UK registration document.
