Introduced in 1993 to the public, the handsome new DB7 was Aston Martin's first six-cylinder model since production of the DBS had finished in 1971. Styled by Ian Callum, its lines were evocative of earlier Aston Martin models and elements of the DB4/5/6 could be seen in the design. Arguably one of the nicest looking cars ever produced by Aston Martin, the DB7 was well received and attracted new customers worldwide with its traditional layout of the curvaceous two door coupé body and robust six-cylinder engine. Power was supplied by an all alloy double overhead camshaft supercharged 24 valve inline six-cylinder engine which produced 335 bhp at 5750rpm. Regarded by many as the purist modern Aston Martin, the DB7 will undoubtedly be a collectable car for years to come and is equally at home in the city or out on the open road. In 1982, Aston Martin was granted a Royal Warrant of Appointment by the Prince of Wales, the company holds the warrant to this day. Originally registered on 15th February 1996, this DB7 has spent some of its latter life in southern Ireland, although the car did the return journey early in 2014 and was re-registered back onto its original number plate of N473 GNM. The service book has 17 stamps in all, although she could do with an interim service currently. Our road test confirmed this to be a very good example with no adverse noises and a very responsive engine, our drive also identified no obvious faults. Finished in Chiltern Green with a parchment interior, this Aston Martin is supplied with a V5 registration document and a current MoT test certificate. Realistically priced given the low mileage and condition.
