Lot of 6, including: (1) TLS, signed Richard Nixon on White House stationery, Washington (DC), 25 April 1974. Thanking Robert Younger for some books sent to him, one autographed and one a history of the 23rd Ohio VI. Framed with photo of Nixon with printed signature. (2) TLS, George C. Wallace, as Gov. of Alabama. On State of Alabama letterhead, Montgomery, 28 March 1974. Also thanking Mr. Younger for books sent to him (possibly secretarial signature). Framed to 12 x 19 in., with a color photo inscribed: "To my friend / Robert J. Younger / Best Wishes / George C. Wallace / Gov. of Alabama." (3) TLS, signed by William Timmons, Assistant to the President. 1p, on White House letterhead, 17 April 1969. To Charles W. Whalen, Jr., House of Reps. Re: a request for autographed photos of president. 6 x 9 in. Framed to 11 x13 in. (4) Photo of Spiro Agnew, with printed "To Robert J. Younger / With best wishes," and signed by autopen "Spiro T. Agnew." Framed to match #3. (5) Black-&-white photo signed by Barry Goldwater (probably autopen). Also framed to match #3. Some toning of mat. Signature fading. (6) Black-&-white photo signed "Best Wishes from John M. Ashbrook / M.C. 17th Dist." This district is now obsolete, having been re-drawn after the 2010 census. It used to extend from just west of Kent, OH to the Pennsylvania line incorporating most of Youngstown, Niles and Warren. Ashbrook served from 1961 until his death in 1982. Framed to match previous three. Condition: None removed from frames for examination.
