2425 Filialleiter der Medici, Anfang d. 16. Jhdts. - Raffael in Florenz - Taddei, Antonio, E. Br. m. U. Florenz 2.IX.1506. Qu.-4°. 1 S. Schätzpreis: *R (3.000,- €) An Raffaelo de' Medici (1477-1555), der mit seinem Vater Francesco in der familieneigenen Bank in der Via Porta Rossa in Florenz arbeitete. Taddei selbst "dirigeva una filiale del Banco Medici ed era considerato politicamente tra i più vecchi e fidati sostenitori dei Medici" (Orsola Gori, Contesina moglie di Cosimo "il Vecchio", lettere familiari, S. 10, in: www.archiviodistato.firenze.it). In diesem sehr dekorativen, jedoch aufgrund der zahlreichen Abbreviaturen nicht einfach zu lesenden Brief erinnert Taddei Raffaelo de' Medici an einige Dinge, die er in Florenz erledigen möge. Ein kleiner Teppich u. eine neue Haube sollen an eine Madonna Griecha (?) weitergeleitet werden, ein Warenballen ungenannten Inhalts an Taddeis Mutter Francesco oder an seinen Bruder Bongioanni. Interessant ist der Brief vor allem wegen der Erwähnung eines "Raffaello di Santi" . Hierbei handelt es sich mit ziemlicher Sicherheit um den jungen Raffael, der 1504-8 in Florenz weilte u. hier in Kontakt u. a. mit Leonardo kam. Ob sich ein anderer in vorliegendem Brief genannter Name, "Fr(an)c(esc)o di B(ar)tolom(m)eo", auf Francesco di Bartolommeo di Zanobi del Giocondo bezieht, den Auftraggaber der 1503-6 v. Leonardo in Florenz gemalten "Mona Lisa", muss dahingestellt bleiben. - Dokumente zu Raffael in dieser Periode sind v. größter Seltenheit . - Faltspuren, sonst tadellos.
