Cotton, 11.25 x 18 in., printed flag, originally a 34-star pattern with oval of 18 stars surrounding 4 rows of 4 stars. One star added in upper left and lower left corners to create 36-star configuration. Ca 1865-1867. Provenance: J. Richard Pierce Collection of American Parade Flags Condition: Slight overall toning; a few creases. Slight overlap printing of first four stripes into canton. Stitched to acid-free mat board, ready for framing.
