HANDCOLOURING, contemp. unif. gilt calf, richly gilt spine w. 2 contrasting mor. letterpieces, marbled endpapers, large 8vo. - Both vols. occas. (sl.) yellowed/ foxed (mostly vol. 2), also affecting some plates; vol. I htitle, title-p. and p.v/vi w. large waterstain in inner margin; both vols. w. old owner's entry on verso first free endpaper ("Hussey Fleet"). Both vols. joints splitting, vol. 2 upper joint weak; spines rubbed and corners showing. = Despite the occasional foxing and further defects, a very desirable copy because of the rare and fine handcolouring.
