Serial no. 23213 for 1929, 16 gauge. 28 inch blued barrels with single silver bead and concave matte rib marked Parker Bros. Makers. Meriden, Ct. U.S.A. Titanic Steel. Ejectors. Double triggers. Automatic safety. Casehardened boxlock action with DH grade scroll engraving; either side with panel scene of dogs, underside with scene of four pheasants. Checkered splinter fore-end and pistolgrip stock of figured walnut. Vacant silver escutcheon. Engraved skeletal steel buttplate. Together with original Parker order no. 201114 dated 11/7/1930, original hang tag with two instruction tags and original catalog. Condition: Very good. Barrels retaining 98% blue finish showing considerable light pinpoint spotting. Right barrel with slight exterior dent 14 inches from muzzle. Bright bores. Action with dark grey patina showing generous traces of vivid casehardening and much casehardening colors in protected areas. Fore-end showing repaired hairline cracks to either side and small chip to right side. Buttstock showing scattered light marks and one slight hairline crack behind upper tang.
