A .38 COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY REVOLVER, NO. 318496 Sighted barrel with two-line address, original nickel plated finish (much flaking and subsequent light staining), mother-of-pearl grips with sunken medallions, right panel carved in very high relief steer head motif 4¾ inch (12 cm.) barrel .38 Colt cartridge Flaking to nickel and light stining as noted, fore-sight shortened, mechanically excellent. This gun is purported to have belonged to Sheriff Lorenzo Delgado of Las Vegas, New Mexico. Pictured on page 252 of Visions and listed as a ".45 long caliber", this revolver is .38 Colt.
