A belt-buckle fitted with two Wedgwood blue-dipped Jasper plaques and a pair of smear-glazed jasper plaques in steel frames Late 18th Century The first with two navette-shaped plaques, the dipped bright-blue ground applied in white with figures of classically-draped ladies, with lapidary polished edges, framed within a joined double oval cut-steel belt-buckle possibly by Matthew Boulton , 4 3/8in. (11.2cm.) wide (with fitted case); the pair of oval plaques each applied with a figure of a man and a woman in pursuit of Cupid, hiding behind a tree, within pierced studded cut-steel frames bordered with smaller blue-dipped oval plaques (one large plaque and nine small plaques damaged, three small plaques lacking), 3½in. (9cm.) high (3)
