A BERLIN RECTANGULAR PLAQUE painted with a reclining nude before an open window with the sea beyond, the woman smiling with half-closed eyes and head turned slightly to her left, her brown hair falling over an orange cushion and her right arm resting on another cushion on the window-sill, a fan falling from her fingers, a white frilled robe covering her arms and thighs, impressed KPM and sceptre mark, Pressnummern 275 223, circa 1880, carved giltwood surround and a black frame, in a velvet-lined black-painted wood case with two hinged doors the plaque 9in. x 11½in. (23cm. x 29cm.)
