A black-laced Uname-nui Okegawa Nimaido gusoku (ARMOR) (c. 1900) The black-lacquered iron helmet of three-plate Etchu type zu-nari (head-shape) form, with lacquered wood wakidate (side-crests) of stylized water buffalo horns, with five-tier black lacquered iron clad itazane (sheets simulating rows of laced individual scales) shikoro (neck guard), russet iron Etchu-bo (chin cover) with four-tier yodare-kake (bib) matching the shikoro , the uname-nui okegata nimaido (cuirass) of close-laced and lacquered iron clad with leather rectangular sane (scales), a sashimono (rear crest) of white horse-hair surmounted by a figure of Fudo Myo-o (Acala), kusazuri (skirt) with seven tassets each of five tiers of itazane (sheet simulating laced scales) shinogote (sleeves)with three rows each of thirteen parallel lacquered metal shino (splints) on the forearms and similar rows on the upper arms linked with iron chain on dark blue textile, the eri-mawashi (neck and shoulder protection) and kohire (small shoulder guards) of kikko (brigandine), shino haidate (thigh guards) with splints and iron chain on textile matching the sleeves, shino suneate (lower leg guards)
