A canteen of Victorian silver double struck Albert pattern flatware by Elizabeth Eaton comprising one hundred and forty one items, with engraved armorial, London, 1854/5/6, and a matching plated soup ladle, approximately 338 oz. Estimate £4,000-6,000 12 serving/table spoons- Most spoon tips in good condition, some though are showing signs of minor wear. 35 tableforks- At least 24 of the forks have some wear to the tines ranging from at best, slight to at worst, clear wear. 35 dessert forks- At least 29 have some wear to the tines ranging from slight to clear wear. 29 dessert spoons- Two spoons have a dent to the tip of the bowl along with some minor wear. THE APPROXIMATE WEIGHT IS 338oz. 18 teaspoons - Five of the spoon tips are showing signs of wear. 4 sauce ladles, 5 mustard ladles, 1 butter knife and pair of basting spoons. All pieces have minor scratches, some pieces have visible wear to the engraved armorial and parts of the raised decoration on the handles are showing signs of wear also. All of which is commensurate with age and use. Hallmarks all generally clear although a large number of the pieces have wear to the maker's mark.
