A 'CANTON FAMILLE ROSE' INITIALLED DINNER SERVICE FIRST QUARTER 19TH CENTURY Each piece colorfully enamelled with a Chinese riverscape showing small figures of farmers in the foreground at work in the fields with their oxen, a pink pagoda visible in the mountains beyond and a flock of birds above, the landscaped centered with an oval containing the gilt script monogram JDC , all within gilt cell pattern borders, comprising: A soup tureen, cover and stand, 14½ in. (36.8 cm.) wide A sauce tureen, cover and stand, 8 in. (20.3 cm.) wide A pair of rectangular vegetable tureens and covers, 10 3/8 in. (26.4 cm.) wide A pair of oval vegetable tureens and covers, 9½ in. (24.1 cm.) wide A pair of sauceboats and lozenge-shaped stands, 7 in. (17.8 cm.) wide A square bowl, 9½ in.
