A carved and inscribed bamboo 'liuqing' wristrest, signed Zhang Xihuang 17th Century the convex surface carved in liu qing with a tranquil landscape scene portraying four figures engaged in various pursuits amid lush trees, pavilions, bridges and craggy rocks beside the calm waters of a lake, the surface gently rippling, and with high mountains stretching into the distance, the top right corner with an inscription followed by the signature and seal of Zhang Xihuang, the wood deep honey brown in tone 18.1cm., 7 1/8 in.
