Staples, as a token of sincere appreciation for his valuable contribution in further strengthening the close and cordial relations between Thailand and the United Kingdom during his successful tour of duty in Bangkok, 1981-86, Air Chief Marshal signature (Siddhi Saversila) Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand 29 January 1986”.
