A CAUCASIAN KINDJAL, A PERSIAN KARD, AND AN INDIAN(?) KNIFE The first late 19th Century, the second partly 17th Century The first with plain fullered blade, iron hilt damascened in silver with scrollwork and a trellis pattern, and original leather-covered scabbard with iron mounts en suite with the hilt; the second with robust single-edged blade cut in low relief on each side of the forte with a panel of arabesques (now rubbed) enclosing gold-inlaid calligraphy, and later silver-mounted hilt with "eared" marine ivory grip-scales, one set with an oval moonstone, in its leather-covered scabbard with pierced silver chape; the third with fluted single-edged blade, and curved cylindrical ivory handle (chipped) decorated with dots within circles, and lines and crosses 14in. (35.6cm.) to 18in. (45.7cm.) (3)
