A Chinese bronze Bodhisattva, 16th/17th century
A Chinese bronze Bodhisattva, 16th/17th century seated in dhyanasana on a double lotus base with a serene expression and downcast eyes, his hands held in harina mudra, wearing beaded jewellery and a high ornate crown, remains of gilt lacquer to the reverse of the figure -- 8in. (20.3cm.) high.
