A Chinese Jianyao ‘Hare’s Fur’ conical bowl and saggar, Song Dynasty, 12th -13th century, the bowl approximately 12cm diameter and the overall size of the saggar 20cm; a Jianyao ware Hare's Fur' bowl, Song Dynasty, 12th -13th century, 11.2cm diameter and a Henan type bowl, 8.5cm diameter (3) Provenance: The bowl and saggar from R & G McPherson Antiques, London, 8th July 2008 and then to the Peter Arlidge Collection. The rough clay firing saggar surrounding the bowl protected pots from dirt and ash inside the kiln during firing.
