The sides of the sceptre are decorated with champlevé squared scrolls. The ruyi- shaped head is inset with a white jade plaque carved with a bat in flight above two peaches on a leafy branch, the central section is inset with an elongated rock crystal plaque carved with a cicada and a finger citron; and the smaller ruyi -head terminal is inset with a grey jade plaque carved with a bee and a pomegranate. 18 in.
