A contemporary designer hydrangea vanity Print Second half 20th century, attributed to Dorothy Thorpe, with a shaped outset beveled glass top raised on a matched pair of clipped-corner rectangular antiqued mirror-finished cabinets, each with two drawers fitted with ''twisted'' tubular Lucite handles, raised overall on a molded base in the form of a pile of pink and blue hydrangea flower clusters on a serpentine beveled wooden plinth, together with a matching yellow velvet-upholstered bench on an X-form green-painted base, 29.75'' H x 84'' W x 21.5'' D, Provenance: Private Collection, Los Angeles, CA. Condition: The bench: 18'' H x 34.5'' W x 17'' D. Overall good condition, with general dust accumulation, chips, rubbed wear, nicks and minor losses to molded hydrangea bases commensurate with age and use. An approximately .25'' x .5'' shallow chip to edge of glass top. Scattered spots of deterioration to mirrored finish of cabinets, including two approximately 2''-diameter spots on face of top drawer. Bench with some separation at joints and general wear and nicks to painted finish commensurate with age and use.
