A copper token inscribed 'York 1763 / Rob Anderson' and one other 'Wilkes Forever No 45' (2)* Biography John Wilkes[1725-1797] was an outspoken politician and journalist who believed in liberty and the freedom of speech and action. in 1763 he published the famous 'No.45' issue of the North Briton in which he denounced the King's Speech and was expelled from Parliament.
