A Crimea Pair to Private James Perkins, 17th Lancers, Who Charged with the Light Brigade at Balaklava on the 25th October 1854, Turkish Crimea Medal, (Sardinia), un-named as issued, with British Crimea Medal suspension with four clasps, Sebastopol, Inkermann, Balaklava, Alma ; Indian Mutiny Medal ( Jas Perkins. 17th Lancers.) 'Into The Jaws Of Death, Into The Mouth Of Hell Rode The Six Hundred' 850 Private James Perkins of the 17th Lancers, enlisted in May 1846, and is recorded at being at Scutari, 13th December 1854 to 11th May 1855, he was invalided to England, 31st August 1855, later promoted to Corporal, then posted to India, where he died at Sccunderabad on the 31st August 1860. Private Perkins Impressed Crimea medal sold at Glendining's on 18th July 1917 and 14th March 1968, now in an English private collection.
