DescriptionA decorative gold and enamel bonbonniere, 19th century
circular, the lid centred with a stylised leafy ornament on opaque white enamel ground, surrounded by borders of semi-translucent enamel in leopard colours over engine-turning and steel blue enamel, within opaque white enamel rims chased with quatrefoil bands alternating with leafy ornaments within oval frames, the waisted sides and base similarly decorated, French prestige marks including maker's mark JD for Jean Decle, charge and discharge mark of Jean-Baptiste Fouache, Paris date letter O for 1777/8, in a fitted velvet-lined gold-tooled blue leather case_______________________________________________________________

ronde, le couvercle centré d'un ornement feuillagé stylisé sur fond d'émail blanc opaque, entouré de bordures d'émail semi-translucide de couleur léopard sur émail bleu acier et guilloché, dans des anneaux d'émail blanc opaque ciselés de bandes quadrilobées alternant avec des ornements feuillagés dans des cadres ovales, les côtés et la base décorés de la même façon. Poinçons de prestige français dont le poinçon d'orfèvre JD pour Jean Decle, poinçon de charge et de décharge de Jean-Baptiste Fouache, la lettre-date O pour Paris 1777-1778, dans un étui à la forme en cuir bleu doré doublé de velours
