The master pattern for this model took seven months to create and this model has been completely finished by hand by the pattern maker Neville Smith and is signed underneath. With a length of 92cm and a weight of nearly 20 kilos this is the largest and the most impressive model 250 GTO built. The model is finished as 4153 GT, built in 1963 and is sporting the Ecurie Francorchamps livery. In its first race at Le Mans that year it finished 4th overall and went on to win Tour de France in 1964.
