A FINE AND RARE LARGE TEADUST-GLAZED VASE, HU QIANLONG PERIOD (1736-1795) The flattened pear-shaped body moulded with strapwork bands joining to form intaglio panels and diamond-shaped lozenges in the centre, the neck with two horizontal grooves, flanked by a pair of loop handles supporting fixed rings and ribbons applied with wan symbols, the ends threaded as if under the strapwork, the splayed foot with rectangular perforations to either side, covered overall with a rich olive-green glaze thinning at the rim and on the extremities to a chestnut-brown tone except for the footrim painted with a dark brown wash 20 1/4 in.
