A fine cast iron and brass contemporary early 19th-century instruction model of a six-pillar single cylindar rotative beam engine, with brass cylinder approx. 2in. bore x 6in. stroke with outward-facing valve chest and separate steamways, delicate parallel motion with gibbed and cottered drop links with columnal spacers, shaped barrelled radius and anchor links, rod driven feed pump with non-return valve, cast decorative beam, faceted, barrelled connecting rod with gibbed and cottered big and little ends and wasted crank with spoked flywheel and multi-rope pulley and cast iron entablature supported on six tapered wrought iron columns on a cast iron bed forming a tank, finished in black and polished brightwork (some restoration) wood stand -- 86.5 x 106.5cm. (34 x 42in.)
