A FINE GERMAN SILVER-MOUNTED FLINTLOCK PISTOL with sighted barrel retaining traces of original blueing and chiselled in low relief at the breech with rococo ornament heightened with encrusted silver flowers, chiselled tang, bright rounded lock decorated en suite with the barrel (the cock a working replacement), steel and blued top jaw encrusted with silver flowers, moulded figured walnut full stock carved with floral sprays behind the tang and rear ramrod-pipe, full silver mounts including side-plate, butt-cap, trigger-guard (tang replaced) and rear ramrod-pipe all cast and chased with rococo ornament in relief against a stippled ground, blued trigger and trigger-plate, horn fore-end cap, and original horn-tipped ramrod, unsigned, mid-18th Century 14¼in.
