A FINE SUITE OF SIX GEORGE III SILVER CANDELABRA LONDON, 1793, MAKER'S MARK OF JOHN SCOFIELD Comprising two three-light and four two-light; each on spreading circular foot with gadrooned bands and engraved with a Baron's armorials, rising to a fluted tapering cylindrical stem below similar gadrooning and supporting a fluted vase-shaped socket and removable gadrooned nozzle engraved with the same armorials, the removable vase-shaped central standard with similar decoration and similarly engraved, surmounted by a flame finial and issuing acanthus-clad fluted scroll branches with gadrooned drip-pans below vase-shaped fluted sockets and removable gadrooned nozzles similarly engraved, fully marked, numbered 1, 2, 3, 5, 7 and 8, the bases with scratch weights totalling 258=1--22 1/2in. (57.1cm.) high (weight of branches 403 oz.) (6)
