A fine Swiss electroplated minute-repeating miniature carriage timepiece Unsigned, circa 1900 The eight-day going barrel movement with lever escapement and split bi-metallic balance, push-button repeat sounding the hours followed by ting-tang quarters and the minutes on a pair of gongs, the underside with telescopic winding and hand setting plungers, RETARD/ADVANCE setting disc and stamped with serial number 69851, the 1.25 inch circular white enamel Arabic numeral dial with gilt dot minute markers and pierced gilt hands set behind convex glass, the Art Nouveau style silvered Mignonnette No. 1 size case with stylised ivy leaf hinged handle over conforming canted frieze, reeded corner pilasters and raised arch-shaped panels to sides, on conforming relief modelled canted skirt base with small pad feet, 8.5cm (3.375ins) high.
